Shikamaru (Naruto Shippuuden)
Shikamaru is a very skilled ninja with an intellect in IQ of over 200. Asuma noted that this is beyond genius and probably the smartest ninja in the Konoha; Shikamaru also has a knack for being able to remember everything he witnesses in astonishing detail, which enables him to better formulate plans and tactics, as well as being able to analyze and discern the nature of an opponents abilities after seeing it performed only once. His primary supporting move is the Shadow Possession Technique. It can also be said that Shikamaru is very skillful at dodging attacks and he makes use of strategy and planning as opposed to outright battle. It might be noted that in each of his previous battles, Shikamaru makes use of strategy & planning instead of outright battle. Asuma has stated Shikamaru can think ten moves ahead and consider 200 possible moves in a second. But his real talent is always being able to choose the correct one. This enables him to defeat many ninja who according to him, "Cannot use their head."

Zero (Code Geass)
Lelouch's Geass, given to him by C.C., grants him "the power of absolute obedience," allowing him to plant commands within a person's mind upon eye contact which they will obey without question. Commands dictated in this state are written into the minds of anyone who makes eye contact.
Lelouch could initially toggle Geass activation at will, but subsequently loses this control. Even without his Geass, Lelouch is a formidable opponent. He is highly intelligent, possessing a genius-level intellect, and is capable of devising and executing strategies with incredible speed and precision.

Even tho i like ZERO alot .I am going to stick to shikamaru since if it was an assassination attempt . Shikarmaru would have done it flawlessly . He could easily use his shadow technique to control one of Zero's friends and kill him without ZERO knowing it.

Or he could have just use a knife or a gun and point at zero and killed him since a gun/knife has its own shadow .

Either way you see it Shikamaru would have found 10-100 different ways to kill zero.

same i like zero, but if its a 1 on 1, which is probably, shikamaru has it in the bag unless zero uses the geass on it, but im sure shikamaru isnt dumb enough to fall for it

idk, all ZERO needs is 1 glance and its over. in a random meeting, shikamaru wouldnt stand a chance. then again, even if shikamaru did his homework on ZERO, ZERO kept his geass a well guarded secret. i think by the time shikamaru figurs out ZERO's power, it would b to late.

Oh geez. at first it would seem obviously Shikamaru. Buuutttt if Shikamaru looks into lelouch's eye like what happens in most naruto battles..... its over. Funny how a bunch of powers in naruto involve the eye too.

First let me say that whoever thought of this match up is a genius! I nearly went nutz when I saw it on the main page xD

But I think that if Shikamaru had intel on Zero's geass, he'd win flat out.
If he didn't have intel, he'd win only if Zero was unable to control his geass. Merely because I'd assume Zero would have his special lenses in his eyes and would get caught in shadow possession before he'd get to take them out.
But if and only if Zero didn't have the lenses in and Shikamaru didn't have any intel, he'd beat Shikamaru...
But since I'd like to compare them in chess which is a more even playing field, I think Shikamaru would win.

Hm, If Zero was in his knightmare(The freakish godly one), then GG for shikamaru. Other than that im all in for shikamaru. Zero's genius really show's when there are pieces(people) to manipulate. In this 1vs1 he will probably lack that. Even with the geass, he's going down due to the fact shikamaru's a NINJA!! Ambush FTW.

It'd be real funny if shikamaru showed up in sunglasses

Now I would also say Shikamaru cause he's a Ninja from Naruto.
*If he knew about Zero's Geass then yes he wins.
* If he Doesn't he loses.
* If Zero knows about his abilites and Shikamaru has no clue then Zero would win, ( and his shadow manipulation would be weak against a Knighmare as his strength is no where near a giant machine).
* Both are smart so if they had information on each other then I'm sure Zero wouldn't just go down so easily it depends on who has the better plan. Don't forget that Zero thinks ahead.

If they where to just meet unexpectedly then Zero would be Victorious. Its like Sharingan a glace and it can be over.

and another thing if he's facing Zero then that means Zero doesn't have his special contact lens in. He doesn't where it in his suit, but when he became emperor it was different, but I guess he was more Lelouch as an Emporer instead of Zero since his secret was out.

It's better if it was a chess match then a 1 vs 1 fight, both of them could have a big strategy to beat the other, but both of them can improvise to what the other plans.

What's good with Shikamaru is the fact that he wouldn't be caught in the eye effect of Zero as easilly as other people, but if Zero gets him, it's over.

Odd's are 50/50 and what would determine the winner will be...... luck?

Well i'll go for Shikamaru since he's my favorite.
